What is the right mindset for better achieving our goals?
Scientific litsketch on boosting motivation
Many of us feel discouraged to pursue our passion because we believe that we lack the talent or that we are not good enough to achieve our goals. But having a growth mindset, that is, believing that your intelligence can increase over time, can significantly increase your motivation and achievement (Sisk et al., 2018).
The research analysed 158 studies on growth mindset to conclude that people’s belief about whether their intelligence can improve over time with effort helps us better achieve our goals. People with low income were found to benefit much more from having the growth mindset than those with high income.
Believe that your intelligence is like a muscle that you can strengthen with effort by following the recommendations in our website. Develop a reward system in your mind that rewards you not for the achievements you make, but rather for the efforts you make. With effort and learning, you can grow your intelligence.
